There are two type of membership

OPENING DAY

Our traditional club opening day mile race and Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday 31 March, meeting at 2:00pm at the
clubrooms.  There will be a pack run for those too old for hunting chocolate (that means those older than about 15!) Yes we know this is Easter weekend.  Don't worry if you are going to be away, as with online registration nobody will miss out on membership.  The season calendar dictates that is when we will have to start this year.

HELPERS

As always we appreciate the help we get at Saturday club runs from our "willing" volunteers.  But could you do more for us?  The more
help we have, the better our club can be.  Here's a list of some of the
things your Junior Committee take care of, so let us know if you'd like to take on a bit more this season:  answering email enquiries, club email newsletter, relay selections, handicapper, collating race entries, updating the website, updating race entry forms, course setup, coaching, transporting the club tent ...

Constitution

If you want to check up on the technicalities of how the Club is run, then the current and correct version of the constitution can be found under Members.

Christchurch Avon Caters for Athletes of All Ages and Abilities

Welcome to our website. We hope it introduces you to a great sport and some great people.

We can help you become the athlete you want to be. Whether your aim is to be a medallist in your specialist event or just run around the park without stopping, Christchurch Avon will help you reach that goal. If you are five years or 85 years, we have a coach, a companion, and the club for you. Our members are a mix of those who want to keep fit, active, and social and those who enjoy the more competitive side of athletics and harriers.

We invite all visitors to join in our training sessions and club runs. All prospective new members for the Senior Section, Summer or Winter, and the Junior Winter Section have the opportunity to try us out for a couple of weeks before committing to membership.

Browse our website, check us out on Facebook, ask us questions. Better still give someone a call and come down and meet us.
